No. The CDs
are executable upon insertion into your computer’s CD drive. To view the
various PDF documents included throughout the course you will need Adobe
Acrobat Reader. If this program is not already installed on your system, a
copy of Acrobat Reader 5.0 is available on each of the CDs in the series.
You can also download Acrobat Reader free from Adobe’s Web site at
www.adobe.com.
Since
the program plays directly from your CD drive, the program requires no hard
drive space on your computer. Here are the minimum system requirements to
run the software.

The "run time"
shown for each session is based on the time it takes to play the narration.
It generally does not include the time you may spend viewing and printing
various documents and/or visiting Web resource links related to the topics.
So, while the run time to listen to the entire program is around 11 hours,
you are likely to spend another three to five hours or more with these other
program-related activities. You'll also want to review many of the
sessions more than once. There's a lot to absorb and you're likely
going to want to invest one to two hours every day over two or three weeks.
Yes, although
the course is meant to be taken in its entirety, you can select individual
CDs and purchase additional CDs at a later date. However, there is a
substantial saving if you purchase the entire course at one time.

If you’re like
most small business owners, you may not have a formal written business plan
but it’s never too late to create one. If you want to borrow money to
expand your business, having a formal well-written business plan can
certainly help in that regard. However, there is an even more important
reason to develop and implement a good business plan and we explain why and
how to do it — a 37 page sample business plan is included for your use as a
guide in creating your own. You may also wish to reexamine your current
form of business entity and, based on our overview of your options, you may
want to alter the format under which your business is being operated
(particularly relative to protecting your personal assets). In fact, the
sample CONFIDENTIALITY AGREEMENT to have your employees sign that’s included
on this CD would cost $300 to $500 to have an attorney draft — an important
instrument to help protect your clients and your client list. And
that's not all.

Even an individual who only
had ONE employee would find this part of the program to be the most valuable
part of the entire course. If you're already in the business and have
experienced the frustrations of recruiting, managing and retaining good
employees, you've probably already said to yourself, "There's got to be a
better way." This 17-session CD will teach you how to become a
professional human resource manager and give you the knowledge you need to
recruit the best candidates for the job — and, most importantly, how to
drastically improve your workforce retention.

Yes, that’s
exactly why we’ve included them. You can use the materials as is, or use
them as a model to create your own. These materials include: sample help
wanted ads and recruiting brochure; an employee handbook; safety program
handbook; supplementary 60-page training handbook; sample sales brochures
and flyers; newspaper and Yellow Page ads; several dozen forms; and a host
of other printable materials. A list of all of these materials can be
found at the end of each Session Outline in the Course Outline. You
may also purchase most of these documents in MS Word format so
that you can customize them, either individually or as a
collection. Click here to view

No, none at
all. At least not to us. Obviously, you will have expenses connected with
starting and/or operating your business. But this is not a franchise or
business opportunity offering. You have no further obligations to us other
than paying the tuition cost of the course itself.
The answer to
this question depends on several factors: Whether you will be operating
from your home or a commercial office; whether or not you intend to provide
company vehicles to your employees; how aggressively you plan to grow your
business; and a variety of other factors. If you plan to operate a “real”
business you will be incurring real expenses, too. Your major initial start
up expenses will be for cleaning equipment, supplies and materials;
general liability and workers’ compensation insurance; advertising to
attract clients and employees; and, wages for your employees. It is likely
to require an investment in the range of $10,000 to $20,000 – many people
start for less, but growth is slow and painful if your business is under
capitalized. There are not too many businesses that can be launched
with an investment of less than $50,000 — particularly one with the
potential of a well-run house cleaning business.
Absolutely!
While the laws pertaining to forming a business entity, licensing,
employment and other legal issues in the
U.S.
differ from those in other countries, the precepts for developing and
operating a successful house cleaning business are valid worldwide. We have
prior experience in helping people start and build successful businesses in
50 countries around the world (see
"About Us"). The professional cleaning methods, marketing
strategies, human resource practices, fiscal principles and management
skills taught throughout this course have universal merit.
No we do not.
However, while you can purchase vacuum cleaners, cleaning products and other
materials from various vendors,
The Clean Team in
Jackson, California is an excellent one-stop source. This company has been
in business since 1979. Not only do they offer just about everything
you’ll need, they extend a 10% discount to professional house cleaners and
they ship all over the world. Furthermore, through a special arrangement
with The Clean Team, they have assembled three suggested starter packages
from which you can choose — and you’ll save an additional 6% to 16% over and
above the regular 10% professional discount. You'll actually save more than
the cost of this entire program simply by taking advantage of this discount
on equipment and supplies!
Believe it or
not, we're not offended by this question. You have a right to ask it
and to know that you're dealing with an established company. Simply go
to the
Florida State Division of Corporations
and under "Public Inquiry" type in the document number "S64299" (you can
copy and paste the 6-digit document number shown here, without quotation
marks). This will confirm our corporate registration effective July 1,
